HeroHere.live is operated by Sugar Beach Media Inc., a Canadian corporation. We build review request and booking software for local businesses. Our website is herohere.live.

What information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and payment information when you sign up.
• Business details: Business type, Google Business profile URL, logo, brand colours, and review platform links.
• Customer data: Phone numbers and email addresses of your customers that you submit to send review requests. We process this data on your behalf as a data processor.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, and pages visited on herohere.live
• Cookies used for session management and analytics
• Review request delivery status and click-through data

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the HeroHere service
• To send SMS and email review requests to your customers on your behalf
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send you account-related emails (receipts, notices, support replies)
• To improve our service through aggregated, anonymised analytics

We do not sell your data. We do not use your customer data for advertising. We do not share personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS, Resend for email).

Your customers' data

When you submit a customer's phone number or email address to HeroHere, you represent that you have a legitimate business relationship with that customer and that contacting them for review requests is appropriate. You are the data controller for your customers' data; we process it solely on your instructions.

Customer data is retained for up to 90 days after a review request sequence completes, then deleted. Opt-out records (STOP replies) are retained indefinitely to prevent future contact.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers in Canada and the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management (keeping you logged in) and analytics cookies to understand how people use our site. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings — the service will continue to work.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@herohere.live. We will respond within 30 days.

Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA. EEA residents have rights under GDPR. We honour all applicable data subject requests.

Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for legal and tax purposes. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of HeroHere after that date constitutes acceptance.
